20 years! 20 years of publishing. 20 years of insanity and promotional parties. 20 years of models, mayhem, and more. 20 years of photography and films created. 20 years of print orders, early mornings, web updates, and a lot of work. According to Google AI, the 20th anniversary is the China and the Platinum anniversary. China symbolizes how delicate the relationship is, and the Platinum represents the strength it took to reach the 20-year mark. It also speaks to how we’ve grown and continue to work hard on each issue to improve them.
Back in 2005, when I started compiling content for what was to become STRIPLV, I was still shooting on film with my Pentax medium-format camera and scanning the film to digitize it so I could work on the imagery in Photoshop. Not long after we launched in January of 2006, I started shooting digitally with my Canon, which significantly streamlined the process.
STRIPLV launched all those years ago at an adult entertainment convention. Our booth featured our models dressed in matching STRIPLV embroidered Juicy Couture track suits. We passed out 10,000 free copies of our first issue, and the girls autographed them for fans. It was the start of something that has turned into a 20-year ride. There were bumps along the way, but the journey has been a learning experience that has helped me hone my craft in photography, filmmaking, graphic design, and website design. The education that it has brought me is invaluable.
In 2026, I will be publishing my second photography art book, “Capture the Moment”. I look forward to learning and seeing more as we celebrate this significant milestone. Thank you to all the readers.
