SERIOUS SNORING
“He snores like a bear!” Sound familiar? Heavy snoring can be the brunt of many jokes, and can disrupt your partner’s sleep in bed at night, but most often, snoring is not harmful. But snoring regularly can begin to take its toll on the quality of a sleeping partner’s rest. More importantly, it can be a sign of a more serious problem called sleep apnea: a potentially serious disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. Sufferers of sleep apnea feel tired even after a full night’s sleep. It’s important to see your doctor if you think you might have sleep apnea, as treatment is necessary to avoid heart problems and other complications.

GAS FACTS
Some of the most hilarious jokes come from passing gas. And though it is most of the time a harmless body function, it can be uncomfortable, embarrassing and a painful process to endure while waiting for the gas to pass.
FOODS: Fruits, vegetables, and of course, beans, soda, and beer can all cause gas.
NUMBERS: Most people pass gas six to 20 times a day.
POSSIBILITIES: Everyone’s digestive tract reacts differently to different foods. Find out your most flatulent foods, so that you can avoid unnecessary embarrassment before an important meeting, date or lovemaking session.

VIAGRA FIGHTS CANCER!?!
Doctors are studying Viagra’s anti-cancer potential on mice. According to German immunologist Viktor Umansky, one of the researchers at the German Cancer Research Center who conducted the study, Viagra works against cancer because it “wakes up” not only the penis but the immune system, as well. In 2006, Johns Hopkins University researchers reported that the drug increased the activity of immune T cells (the ones that attack tumors) in mice. Umansky warns men that only after years of necessary research could Viagra become a treatment for different forms of cancer, but that the possibility is exciting news now that it has been raised.

THIS VALENTINE’S...
KEEP ON KISSING!

Science shows us that kissing is good for your health.

• KISS to Lose Weight (It burns calories—30-calories per 15mins!)
• KISS to Boost Immune System (The extra saliva washes bacteria off your teeth.)
• KISS to De-stress (It calms the mind, similar to meditation.)
• KISS to Tone Facial Muscles (Think French kissing: Your face and neck are getting a great toning-up with the kissing workout.)
• KISS to Increase Pleasure (Lips have more sensitivity than genitals.)

SEX ON THE BRAIN
At age nine, a boy’s testosterone level is the equivalent of a cup a day (if he were drinking water). And by age 15, as a teenager, the young man would be drinking the equivalent of nearly two gallons a day. This flood of testosterone fuels the teen’s sexual engine, making it impossible for them to stop thinking about female body parts and sex. Hence the phrase, “Sex on the Brain,” a scientific occurrence that begins the “Man Trance” – that glazed-eye look a man gets when he sees breasts – not only on Valentine’s Day – every single day of the year.

GINGER AND ASPIRIN FOR GOOD HEALTH
Past studies in mice and rats has shown that ginger plays a preventative role of tumor formations when the rodents were exposed to a chemical known to cause colon cancer. New research now finds that daily ginger supplements help reduce inflammation in the colon. Aspirin was also found to cut cases of colorectal cancer by a quarter when taken in low doses. Plus, the wonder drug was found to decrease death from the disease by a third.
