(Release Date: May 1, 2015)
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and it is up to the Avengers to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans. FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD (Release Date: May 1, 2015)
In Victorian England, the independent and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak, a sheep farmer; Frank Troy, a reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood, a prosperous and mature bachelor. So, her choices are a poor farmer who needs lots of children; an exquisite cad; or a sweet, overly protective father-figure. Meanwhile, Mulligan has yet to show a sexy side, and made Gatbsy’s Daisy a soulless socialite. Directed by Thomas Vinterberg. Starring: Carey Mulligan, Tom Sturridge, Matthias Schoenaerts, Juno Temple, Michael Sheen.

HOT PURSUIT (Release Date: May 8, 2015)
An inept police officer must protect a drug dealer’s widow from criminals and dirty cops. Didn’t we see this movie several times already? Finally, Sofia gets a big, co-starring role and a Vanity Fair cover, complaining about the size of her breasts. Directed by Anne Fletcher. PITCH PERFECT 2 (Release Date: May 15, 2015)
I suffered through Pitch Perfect, I guess I’ll have to do it again. Collegiate a cappella group, the Barden Bellas, enter into an international competition that no American team has ever won. All the principals are backing and they are still singing. Directed by Elizabeth Banks (who also stars in the movie). Also Starring: Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Brittany Snow, John Michael Higgins, Adam DeVine, Katey Sagal.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (Release Date: May 15, 2015)
Finally Tom Hardy gets the hallowed franchise. The apocalyptic story is set in the farthest reaches of our planet—Astoria, Queens—in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed and fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run, who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland. Rumors of trouble between Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy haunted the shoot. Apparently, Hardy lived the role and did not treat Theron like Oscar royalty. Directed by George Miller. Also Starring: Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough.

TOMORROWLAND (Release Date: May 22, 2015)
Hey! It’s got George Clooney and Hugh Laurie. Can’t be THAT bad (unless you saw Clooney’s The Monuments Men. So, which teen does Clooney play? Directed by Brad Bird. Also Starring: Britt Robertson, Judy Greer.

It’s summer! Time for a disaster movie. This time, starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. In the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey across the state in order to rescue his estranged daughter. I love the unique, original idea.
