Splash into Vegas Pool Season with STRIPLV’s Hot List
Spring is here, and Vegas is bringing sexy back when the 2013 pool season opens and becomes home to sexy bodies, exotic drink concoctions and incredible music, thanks to the world-class DJ’s featured at many of the pool parties throughout the spring and summer. STRIPLV features some of our favorites in this issue, as Vegas splashes in the season. Here is our 2013 Hot List of Vegas Pools.
Pools at The Cosmopolitan
The Pool District at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas features three diverse experiences for pool-goers wanting to sunbathe, relax and party. It offers relaxation where you can unwind with a poolside massage or an outdoor yoga class at Bamboo, or get your party on at the ever-so-popular Marquee Dayclub. Providing incredible views of the Vegas Strip, the Boulevard Pool also hosts concert series, featuring acts like Hot Chip, Band of Horses, and Marina and the Diamonds.
Soak up the warm Las Vegas sun from the natural beauty of ARIA’s three distinctive pools. Here you will find the only ellipse-shaped pools in Las Vegas, surrounded by meandering pathways landscaped with lush, impressive planting themes, which provide a verdant oasis on the Las Vegas Strip.
Liquid Pool & Lounge is an adults-only outdoor playground that turns up the heat. Towering plants surround two VIP pools, with 85 chaise lounges, 35 day-beds and 8 grand private cabanas, providing an exclusive summertime refuge that plays host to some of the hottest DJs.
Within the Spa & Salon at ARIA lies Las Vegas’ only co-ed balcony Therapy Pool. Surrounded by plush chaise lounges, the renowned pool is a reclusive perch above ARIA’s three pools, and features an infinite-edge perimeter, offering a little serenity before a night out at ARIA.
Pools at MGM Grand
Expanding over many acres, the Grand Pool Complex at MGM Grand transports sunbathers into a Caribbean poolside heaven, featuring five pools, three whirlpools, and an 8,000-foot lazy river for the kids. The Complex is home to Wet Republic, which we rate as one of Vegas’ sexiest spots for beautiful bodies and like minds.
Over Memorial Day Weekend, Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay will have its grand opening. The 50,000 square-foot open-air space also includes a stage and very high-end sound and lighting system. Daylight Beach Club will host a premier lineup of superstar DJs, including Skrillex, Sebastian Ingrosso and Thomas Gold.
Pools at Encore
Encore Beach guests come to party with an astounding list of all-star DJ’s this summer, from David Guetta to Avicii to Steve Angello. Daybeds surround the outer edges of the pools, with two levels of 26 cabanas and eight bungalows that open up to balconies in the back, with views of the Strip. We like the dance pools in the center of one of the pools where vacationing twenty-something’s give free shows that are worth the price of admission in itself.
Pools at Vdara
Surrounded by cutting-edge design, private retreats and spa cabanas with semi-secluded plunge pools, Pool & Lounge Vdara offers a blissful escape from the club-influenced pools nearby. Rising above, the space provides phenomenal views, made-to-order cocktails, appetizers, and gourmet tapas. It’s an intimate and playful experience with cabanas and daybeds available for additional fees.
Pools at The Hard Rock
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino launches REHAB’s 10th Anniversary season with an all-star lineup, including Sublime with Rome and a Justice DJ Set to celebrate Las Vegas’ original and most indulgent pool experience. You can indulge in the dayclub’s signature cocktails and delicious food menu. Paradise Beach’s private daybeds and cabanas feature premium bottle service, and VIP cabanas come equipped with plasma TVs, telephone, refrigerator and bottled water. Day and nighttime parties, events, and spontaneous revelry throughout, the pools at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino are a favorite escape.
Pools at Bellagio
Marvel at the romantic lure of the Mediterranean-infused al fresco masterpiece pool at Bellagio. Five definitive pool courtyard settings invite you to splash into serenity. Spas, an exquisite garden vista café, private cabanas, and poolside massage treatments are also available to complete this outdoor oasis. Secreted away among verdant, lush foliage, Cypress Premier Lounges are part of an intimate, private garden, where the luxurious setting is complemented by impeccable, personalized service.
Wet ‘n’ Wild
Wet ‘n’ Wild is coming back to Las Vegas! Opening Memorial Day Weekend. Located at 7055 S. Fort Apache Road, just off I-215 between Sunset Road and Warm Springs Road, the park will feature a host of attractions for families and thrill-seekers alike. Adrenaline junkies can enjoy ride experiences like the Hoover Half Pipe that drops you a gut-wrenching 57 feet into a giant half pipe, or the raging Rattler, the only slide of its kind in North America.
